    Plaquenil & Weight Gain/Loss - Plaquenil caused some weight loss for me when I was on a higher dose. Now that I am on 200 mg. per day, I don't notice that anymore. Prednisone, on the other hand, has caused both a gain/loss, depending on the dosage. I noticed a six pound gain with Benlysta happened pretty quickly. That might change now that I am off the Benlysta.
